Kermit the Frog Goes Nuts for OK State
We’ve come to expect at least one iconoclast fan at every big college football or basketball game. At Wednesday’s Kansas-Oklahoma State matchup, that took the form of a famous Muppet character turned Cowboys fan.
After the Pokes’ Le’Bryan Nash opened the game with a dunk, the ESPN cameras panned to a pair of OK State student fans. One was dressed up in full cowboy regalia, as to be expected at any OK State game. His partner was much less traditional, wearing a Kermit the Frog mask, green gloves for hands and a tuxedo.
This is not the first time Kermit has shown his face at Gallagher-Iba Arena, as he first gained notoriety during the Cowboys’ OT win over Baylor in early February. However, Wednesday was by far the biggest audience Kermit the OK State Fan has had this season.
Unfortunately, the Cowboys lost in double overtime, 68-67. Let’s hope this didn’t lead to wallowing in more self-pity from Kermit.
