Jerramy Stevens Arrest Involves Hope Solo

As far as twists and turns go, Jerramy Stevens’ latest brush with the law is one of the most bizarre arrests we have ever heard.

Early Monday morning, the 33-year-old Stevens — a former star tight end at Washington who last played in the NFL for the Buccaneers in 2010 — was arrested on domestic violence charges. The events leading to his arrest took place at the Kirkland, WA, home he shares with his purported fiancée, star soccer goalkeeper Hope Solo.

According to reports, the couple has been dating since Solo returned home to Washington from the London Olympics and had planned to get married on Tuesday.

Solo’s older brother, Marcus, had called police on Monday morning to resolve a disturbance involving a group of men who had not been invited to a party at the house. Police then found Solo with blood and a fresh laceration on her elbow and Stevens asleep on the floor of an upstairs bedroom.

Stevens told police that he and Solo had been arguing about where they would live after their marriage, leading officers to arrest but not charge him on fourth-degree assault. At a Tuesday hearing Judge Michael Lambo deemed there to be “zero” evidence connecting Stevens to assault and released him.

Stevens has a long history of legal trouble, including assault and drugs arrests in high school, a hit-and-run arrest and an accusation of rape while at Washington, a DUI in 2007 and allegedly attacking two bouncers at a bar last year.

We’ll leave it to our readers to determine which part of this story is the craziest. Jerramy Stevens profile
