Iowa State Victimized by ‘Kick Fumble’
Iowa State takes such good care of the ball - the Cyclones hadn’t fumbled once this season entering Thursday night’s game with Texas - that we suppose it had to take something truly bizarre to break that streak.
In the first quarter, running back James White dove up the middle but had the ball knocked loose, resulting in a Longhorns recovery. As it turned out, fellow Iowa State RB Jeff Woody accidentally kicked it loose while blocking on the play.
While not a goof of “Buttfumble” proportions, it’s still definitely one of the strangest turnovers we’ve ever seen.
