Howard’s Rock Vandal Arrested by Police
The Howard’s Rock vandalism case just got weirder.
After a chunk of the legendary good-luck charm at Clemson was removed earlier this month, the Clemson University Police Department has arrested 18-year-old Micah Rogers of North Carolina for the incident.
Reports Clemson.edu: “Rogers, 18, was charged with one felony: malicious injury to animals or personal property valued at more than $2,000, but less than $10,000; and one misdemeanor: trespassing, unlawful entry into enclosed places. ... Rogers appeared in Clemson University Municipal Court this morning and was released on personal recognizance bond of $5,470.”
The strange part? Rogers appears to be a Clemson fan himself, as he owns Clemson memorabilia and has a Clemson sticker on the truck he used before defacing the rock.
What kind of fan would destroy his football program’s most cherished artifact?
