GW Unveils DC-Themed BB Court Design
In case the name “George Washington” wasn’t enough to remind opponents that the Colonials hail from our nation’s capital, their home floor at the Charles E. Smith center will now do so with flying colors.
On Monday, the school unveiled its new basketball court design — one on which silhouettes of the U.S. Capitol, White House and the Washington Monument sit below the interlocking “GW” logo at center court.
“When people around the world are watching our games, we want them to immediately recognize and understand the university’s unique setting in the middle of the action in this world-class city,” said GW director of athletics and recreation Patrick Nero in a school press release.
We love the creative and clean look the Colonials came up with.
