Georgia PK Morgan Charged With BUI
Note to any and all SEC football players: If you attempt to operate a vehicle that’s not a car in an irresponsible manner, you’re just fulfilling a now commonly-held stereotype.
This past Saturday, Georgia placekicker Marshall Taylor Morgan was arrested on charges of boating under the influence at Lake Sinclair.
“He admitted to drinking, and I administered a field sobriety test,” officer Lynn Stanford told the Lake Oconee News of the arrest. “He refused the state test.”
Morgan unintentionally followed in the footsteps of two fellow SEC football players with his arrest: Former Tennessee QB Tyler Bray (guilty plea last August to charges of playing “Jet Ski chicken”) and Florida punter Grant Van Aman (arrested this past Saturday for driving his scooter under the influence).
It remains to be seen if Morgan can reclaim his place as the frontrunner for the Bulldogs’ starting placekicker between now and the fall.
