Georgia Football: Mark Richt Dropped Recruit Due to Social Media
In some corner of the Internet, Twitter is a force for good. College football recruits just need to learn it’s not their corner.
Georgia head coach Mark Richt told reporters at UGA’s Media Day on Friday that he dropped a recruit due to things he was saying and posting on social media.
“We told (the kid and) we told his coach (that) we don’t condone that, and he was a guy who was already committed to Georgia,” Richt said. “He changed his (Twitter) handle and continued to do that kind of thing thinking we wouldn’t find out. And we found out about it, and we cut him.”
Remember kids: If you fool around on social media, Mark Richt will look for you. He will find you. And he will cut you.
