Ex-South Carolina RB Kenny Miles Shot
Former South Carolina RB Kenny Miles had a close call on Monday.
The ex-Gamecock was shot in the forearm during an attempted robbery near Irmo, SC. After being transported to Palmetto Health Richland, Miles was in stable condition on Monday evening.
At the time of the shooting, Miles had a football ring, a watch and an undisclosed amount of cash on him, none of which was taken. No arrests have been made and no suspects have been identified.
Miles started the final four games of South Carolina’s 2012 season following Marcus Lattimore’s ACL injury and rushed for 1,342 yards in his Gamecocks career. Currently working as a support clerk for South Carolina attorney general Alan Wilson, he recently approached Gamecocks head coach Steve Spurrier about the possibility of being a graduate assistant with the team next season.
