Everett Golson Out at ND, Fans Stunned
Notre Dame’s quest to remain near the top of the rankings next season took a serious hit late Saturday night when it was reported that starting QB Everett Golson was no longer enrolled at the university. Two sources told the Chicago Tribune that it was the result of an academic violation.
Reportedly, it stems from Golson cheating on his finals.
The salacious nature of this story — the second such story to cast a pall over Notre Dame’s run to the 2013 BCS title game, following the Manti Te’o fake girlfriend hoax — naturally had the Twittersphere running the gamut with their responses.
Everett Golson is out at Notre Dame for cheating on Finals? At Alabama if you take your Finals you’re on the honor roll.

Maybe Everett Golson had Lennay Kekua take his finals… #rolltide

If the stuff about Everett Golson cheating on his finals is true, I wanna know how the hell he memorized the ND playbook last year.

Please, Alabama. Announce Everett Golson’s transfer has been accepted, and that he is now Bama’s starting kicker. Finish this.

Notre Dame confirms QB Everett Golson is no longer enrolled at the school. Ronaiah Tuiasosopo better not be behind this one

I can’t believe Notre Dame would boot Everett Golson. He’s not even an unproductive fifth-year senior!
