Bird Briefly Interrupts First Four Game

The First Four game on Wednesday involving the James Madison Dukes and LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds was briefly interrupted in the first half by an actual bird.

Early on in the game, a bird that had found its way into University of Dayton Arena dove toward the court and at one point landed on it. It was only a brief disruption, however, as the bird soon retreated to the rafters, where it remained for the rest of the game.

Blackbirds fans in Dayton probably regarded the unexpected guess as a good omen for their team. Alas, LIU was held to 24 points below their season average of 79.5 PPG in a 68–55 loss.
