Baylor BCS Title Odds: From 200-1 to 6-1
Since the start of the season, high-scoring Baylor has made big strides both in the polls (going from unranked to No. 15) and in Las Vegas sportsbooks.
The Bears began 2013 as 200-to-1 odds to win the national title. Now, after averaging 70.5 PPG in its four wins to open the year, it’s at 6-to-1 at the Las Vegas Hotel & Casino SuperBook.
“I don’t need anymore Baylor money,” SuperBook head oddsmaker Ed Salmsons told Betting Talk. “We don’t have a lot of tickets on (Baylor), but they are our biggest liability now.”
Indeed, the Bears have covered the spread in 10 consecutive games, the longest such active streak in the nation. They’re a team that fans of ridiculous offense and sports wagering can rally behind.
