Baylor Beats OU for First Time Ever in 2011

Prior to November 19th, 2011, long-moribund Baylor had never beaten Oklahoma, having gone 0-20 against the perennial powerhouse Sooners. That all changed in dramatic and record-breaking fashion.

Star QB Robert Griffin III had his Heisman Trophy moment on his final throw of the night: A 34-yard scoring strike to WR Terrance Williams with eight seconds left after he scrambled to avoid the OU pass rush. In the process of the 45-38 victory, RGIII - now the starting QB for the Washington Redskins - set single-game school records for passing yards (479) and total yards (551).

As big as that game was for Baylor, Thursday night’s clash with the Sooners at Floyd Casey Stadium will be even bigger, as the sixth-ranked Bears host No. 10 OU in a game with far-reaching Big 12 and BCS implications.
