Bad Ceiling Postpones Iowa-Indiana Game
The sky is literally falling at Indiana’s Assembly Hall, as Tuesday night’s game between Iowa and Indiana on ESPN has been postponed because a metal piece from the ceiling fell into the seats earlier in the day.
Twitter obviously had fun comparing the ceiling at the aging arena and the Hoosiers’ fortunes this year after a 14-11 record so far.
The roof is literally caving in on Crean. MT @GoodmanESPN: IU game tonight canceled after piece of roof at Assembly Hall fell into seats.

The piece of metal that fell in Assembly Hall is the only thing falling faster than the Hoosier’s winning percentage. Lovingly, though.

First the team collapses, then the roof at Assembly Hall collapses. #iubb

[Metrodome laughs maniacally at Assembly Hall] [looks around, realizing it is a heap of metal scraps] [falls quiet again]

The scoreboard fell at Assembly Hall. Tom Crean can let maintenance use of of his many net cutting ladders to put it back up.

We have a feeling Indiana’s athletic department is among the few not laughing.
