A&M’s McGee’s Football Future is Uncertain

Comments

Fast approaching his 28th birthday on September 27th, former Texas A&M quarterback Stephen McGee’s life is at a crossroads.

On August 27th, the Burnet, TX, native was waived by the Houston Texans — who had signed him to a reserve/future contract in January — just two days before their final preseason game. He had previously spent three seasons (2009–2011) with the Dallas Cowboys, who had drafted him in the fourth round in 2009.

Prior to that, McGee had a very respectable career with the Aggies. He was twice an Honorable Mention All-Big 12 honoree (2006 and 2007). McGee’s alma mater hosts top-ranked Alabama on Saturday in one of the 2013 season’s most highly anticipated matchups. Stephen McGee profile
