Rypien’s QB Daughter Gets Starting Nod?
Angela Rypien, the daughter of former NFL star Mark Rypien, is expected to be the starting quarterback for the Seattle Mist on Friday, when they take on the Green Bay Chill in both teams’ Lingerie Football League season opener.
Rypien has been getting attention because, well, she is the daughter of a former Super Bowl MVP with the Washington Redskins, but she said that she has been preparing for her day under center and no doubt wants to continue her family legacy.
“I am more than excited,” Angela Rypien told Kentreporter.com. “This is something I’ve been practicing for about a year now.”
She even channeled her inner LeBron James: “We’re excited to win a game to start it off and win another after that and another one after that.”
The Mist are currently listed as 6.5-point favorites at the MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas.
