MU’s Winslow Now Division II A.D.

Former Missouri tight end and NFL great Kellen Winslow is now the athletics director at Division II’s Central State University in Wilberforce, OH, outside Dayton. He is the father of Kellen Winslow II, who plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The elder Winslow is considered one of the greatest tight ends in the history of football. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1995 and the College Football Hall of Fame in 2002.

A five-time Pro Bowl selection, Winslow was a key cog in coach Don Coryell’s high-powered offense with the San Diego Chargers, with whom he played his entire pro career from 1979-87. He compiled 541 catches, 6,741 yards and 45 touchdowns during that time.

He was a First Team All-American in 1978 at Missouri, which also honored him a spot in its Hall of Fame in 1990. Kellen Winslow profile
