Stanford’s Grunfeld Stays in Israel
Former Stanford guard Dan Grunfeld signed a two-year deal with Israel’s Hapoel Holon, according to Sportando on Tuesday.
The son of Washington Wizards general manager Ernie Grunfeld, the younger Grunfeld averaged 14.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists with Israel’s Bnei Hasharon last year. He also has played in Germany and Spain.
Grunfeld was a four-year player at Stanford, where he averaged a career-best 17.9 points as a junior. That also was the year he blew out his knee and missed the team’s final nine games. He went undrafted in 2006. Dan Grunfeld profile
