Andrew Luck Grilled by David Letterman
Andrew Luck got the New York treatment surrounding his selection as the first overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft - including that from David Letterman, who is a native of Indianapolis.
The first overall pick of Indy’s Colts, the former Stanford QB discussed replacing Peyton Manning, a task that Letterman seemed to emphasize as daunting.
We agree with the venerable late-night host; it won’t be easy replacing the all-time great Manning, but let Luck soak in the joy of perhaps the best night of his life before you scare him about not being able to measure up to his predecessor.
Not that Luck needed Letterman to tell him how tough it’s going to be, but we should remember that probing line of questioning is all part of Letterman’s longtime act.
