Shaq Penned Berry Letter While at LSU

It’s not shocking that Shaquille O’Neal and Halle Berry have had correspondence in the past.

O’Neal is one of the most-famous men around who starred in Los Angeles and got to know many movie stars. Berry is certainly a star and one of the most sought-after women in the country.

But what if we told you that Shaq and Berry were pen pals while he was in college at LSU?

That’s what happened, according to O’Neal in his forthcoming autobiography, according to excerpts that were leaked by Deadspin. Shaq saw her in the 1991 movie “Jungle Fever,” thought she was beautiful and decided to pen her a note.

“A few weeks later, no lie, Halle Berry wrote me back. She sent me a signed picture that I still have hanging in my office. Turns out she’s a basketball fan. She wrote, ‘I’m a big fan of yours, too. I can’t wait until you get to the NBA,’” Shaq wrote, according to Deadspin.

Man, this guy really has lived a charmed life. Check out the rest of the excerpts from the link below, which include, of course, his thoughts on Kobe Bryant. Shaquille O’Neal profile
