100-Yard Screen for New UNLV Stadium?
UNLV’s football program isn’t letting the fact that the Rebels haven’t made a bowl since 2000 prevent them from having Texas-sized ambitions when it comes to the construction of a new stadium.
The school’s 60,000-seat stadium proposal features a ridiculous 100-yard-long video screen. That’s 40 yards longer than the behemoth currently hanging from the beams above Cowboys Stadium.
In an interview with the Las Vegas Sun, project lead Don Snyder called the proposed screen the “world’s largest multimedia immersive experience” while adding, “This project is a game changer for UNLV and Las Vegas. It’s an important and significant project for the state as well. It’s the next big thing.”
UNLV coaches no doubt hope that will count for something on the recruiting trail.
