K-State’s Michael Bishop Out of Football
Former Kansas State quarterback Michael Bishop was cut by the CFL’s Winnipeg Blue Bombers in August. He is currently out of football.
Bishop has played in Canada for a large portion of his pro career after starting out in the NFL in 1999, when he was drafted in the seventh round by the New England Patriots.
A transfer from Blinn Junior College, Bishop led K-State to a 11-2 record in 1998 and was named the Davey O’Brien winner for his efforts, nearly winning a national title before falling to Texas A&M in the Big 12 Championship Game.
Kansas State will take on Arkansas in Friday’s Cotton Bowl. Michael Bishop profile
