Alabama Fans Troll LSU With Seaweed

With just 29 days until Alabama kicks off its 2012 season with a juicy matchup against Michigan, a couple Crimson Tide fans (or one super fan) are taking one last look back at how 2011 ended.

Courtesy of Twitter user @RockyTopSaint is this photo from Florida’s Santa Rosa Beach, roughly 60 miles east of Pensacola. Spelled out in seaweed is the score of last year’s BCS title game, in which ‘Bama defeated SEC West rival LSU, 21–0.

Perhaps the person or people behind this “seaweed trolling” were sending a message to an LSU friend flying overhead in a water plane. Or perhaps they wanted to build a sand castle version of Nick Saban’s statue outside Bryant Denny Stadium but didn’t have the patience.

Good thing they settled on the seaweed creation, for it birthed this gem courtesy of Adam Kramer of Kegs ‘N Eggs: “Roll Low Tide!”

Yea, Debbie let’s see how loud you are laughing when The Tigers put some serious payback on Bama in BR this year. ”What goes around comes around ” and most Bama fans like you have been asking for it all year.

  It’s easy to talk before the game’s been played isn’t it? You are only supposed to proclaim your victories AFTER they have been secured. Miami had a bad habit of that as well. Even Florida folks have a tendancy to brag in advance of the games being played. I remember an Auburn Florida game I went to years ago in the swamp. I’m not an Auburn fan (went with my wife), but i sure did give it back to those with their mouths blabbin’ about what they were GOING to do that day. Well, it didn’t happen for Miami, Florida, or many others I won’t mention. How about letting us brag about what’s already in the bag, ok!?

    It might’ve been a world of fun…at the time. But..still wrong.
    
    And.. as far as the Tiger’s plans for “…some serious payback…” against The Tide.
    Well… nothing that anyone can say, on this or any other forum, will have the Slightest affect on that game.

      I read the crap the trolls from lsu posted on the Alabama blog after the Bama loss last year and I can say without reservation nothing is wrong with bragging about Bama for the trouncing Bama gave them in NO. ROLL TIDE!

  Billy: Laughing because something is funny is “classless”? Where is your sense of humor? Now you know what it felt like after Bama lost on 11/5/11 and all the jokes we Bama fans had to endure from the night of 11/5/11 until the beginning of the game on 1/9/12. I even laughed at the Goal Post jokes because having 4 goal posts in the endzone to take care of the “FG problem” was actually funny.

  Sounds like you’re just another butt hurt LSWho fan! Seems that I remember droves of classless tiger fans beating their chests and bragging about that 11/05/11 victory in T-Town! Of course, the media fanned the flames by labelling LSWho as one of the best teams to possibly ever play the game! Then your little world came craching down around your feet when The Tide absolutely throttled and man-handled your tigers in their own back yard of Nawlins! IMHO, LSWho should be reasonably good again this year, BUT whether or not they’ll “put some serious payback on Bama” remains to be seen! Bama’s overall history in Red Stick is fairly impressive!

Just so you know, Santa Rosa Beach is 8 miles east of Destin in South Walton, people who live and/or visit this area take exception to the description ” 60 miles from Pensacola”……who ever wrote the caption is obviously not from our neighborhood! Roll Tide Roll!

Will the humiliation never end for LSU? Love this and love the one who put it in the sand as well as the one who brought it to our attention here. It reminds us of our Sweet, sweet justice in NOLA. LSU, how about a little sand in that gumbo & etouffee?
