Stanford Nation enjoyed a temporary annexation in Tuscaloosa, AL, on Saturday night.
A group of Alabama fans was gathered at the Buffalo Wild Wings in town in hopes that enough chaos among the three teams ranked ahead of them in the BCS — Kansas State, Oregon and Notre Dame — could boost the Crimson Tide back into contention for the national title.
With unranked Baylor having already upset the top-ranked Wildcats, 52–24, earlier in the evening, ‘Bama fans started pulling hard for Stanford to upend No. 2 Oregon. When the Cardinal did so on Jordan Williamson’s game-winning field goal in OT, the Buffalo Wild Wings exploded in excitement.
If you live in the T-Town area, don’t be surprised to see someone wearing Cardinal gear in the coming week.
