As far as gaudy tattoos go, Alabama fans outdo their counterparts at other schools — both in terms of quantity and “quality.” So it makes sense that the first ridiculous inking we report on in 2013 goes to a member of Crimson Tide Nation.
As a nod to the coat of arms of the biker gang on the FX show “Sons of Anarchy,” the phrase “Sons of Saban Alabama” flanks a portrait of a Grim Reaper-like figure, holding a crystal ball containing Alabama’s script “A” (as opposed to the anarchy symbol) in his left hand and toting a blood-soaked sickle – with a gun making up the staff – in his right.
If you hear of a copyright infringement lawsuit filed by the “Sons of Anarchy” producers against an Alabama man in the news in the next few weeks, you’ll know why.
