Muschamp’s Dad Calls Saban SOB

As if more fuel was needed for the Florida-Alabama fire, the extent of the chilly relationship between Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban and new Gators head coach Will Muschamp has been revealed.

The Palm Beach Post detailed the deterioration of the relationship between the two. Muschamp was a defensive assistant under Saban both at LSU and with the Miami Dolphins.

But the newspaper said that they had a falling out in Miami, which was due in part to Saban’s “gruff” manner. In fact, Muschamp’s father, Larry, called Saban a “son of a b***h” in comments to the Post.

As an example of Saban’s behavior, the newspaper cited Muschamp’s parents who watched their son’s house in Coral Springs, FL, while he was on vacation with his family during his tenure with the Dolphins. The report said that Saban called the house looking for a document and badgered Sally Muschamp as she was trying to find a fax machine from which to send it.

After calling Saban the aforementioned derogatory term, Larry Muschamp told the newspaper: “I’m surprised (Sally) didn’t say, ‘When it gets there, put it where the sun don’t shine.’ She didn’t. But that’s Saban. He and Will got crosswise in Miami for whatever reason.”

We bet both have Saturday, October 1 circled on their calendars.

More immature yellow journalism! Can’t you people report on Sports anymore? This has nothing to do with college football and it’s like a 3rd grade arguement. Most Sports Reporters, and I use that term loosely are former highschool band members and have never played any sports, but they can rip a coach and athlete all day long for their success. Shame on you for posting this nonsense.

No kidding. This is just hearsay, and even if it weren’t, who cares? Willie’s parents are upset that their little boy was demoted by Saban at the Dolphins (which he was). Saban is going to absolutely destroy Muschamp in his own house. Will’s emotional chest-bumping demeanor will not serve him well as a head coach, where he will need to make rational, unemotional decisions. We also all saw what Bama did to Will’s supposedly great UT defense at the Rose Bowl. With no passing game due to the qb’s broken ribs (sustained against UF), Bama still proceeded to stuff the ball down UT’s throat to the tune of 275 yards or so and made them like it.

Texas was clearly ahead in that game until Colt McCoy got hurt. Alabama only won that game with “dirty football”
Substandard academic requirements for athletes, and ethical standards Muschamp would never support.

Now the real truth comes out….FINALLY. Yo hammer falls plumb, Doug.

      • Dale Borden

Doug Mahin is the result of an incestrial relationship. Doug, don’t hate Bama cause your mom and dad were brother and sister when they had you!

  • Flav

Who in the h*** told her she could leave the kitchen? Larry better keep his woman in check.

  • Tony

Um, you might want to ask Muschamp (you know the Muschamp that this garbage piece is about) about this. From all indications, they appear to have a great relationship currently. And also, there is no Florida- Alabama fire. What a crazy article.

Sounds like sour grapes, Saban taught him everything he knows and then chews him up and spits him out in NC game, Cmon dad little William will wish he had stayed in Texas where you could protect him.

  • KylesaDB

Kyle is obviously an Alabama fan and has to bring up a game that took place two years ago. I don’t care for either team but I can tell you this, if Colt stays in, Bama loses and Saban leaves thanks to him being investigated for being an a**hole.

      Check That!

OBC thinks this is funny!! Does anyone doubt or care that Satan is a SOB?

  • Jon

Saban gave Will Muschamp his big break into college coaching, an unheard of guy like Muschamp that had no resume’ or prior coaching experience. Nick Saban hired him at LSU as a virtual unknown and started the guys career and look at how the Parents show their appreciation. Saban did the same with Kirby Smart and now he is regarded as one of the top DC’s in college football just a few years later.

  • Bear

This is not a surprising story. Saban has treated his assistants shabbily ever since his first head coaching job. If I were interviewing for a job on his staff I think I would do my homework first and talk to some former assistants first.

  • Roxiee Pruitt

How many of us have hated our bosses at one time or another. The thing we have to ask ourselves is coaches who worked under Saban progressed to high jobs. Sabans job is to help coaches and players to get better and suceed. Has he done that?

  • The Dude

Muschamp owes much, if not the majority, of his success to Nick Saban. Work is rough when you make the kind of dough coordinators make. Both Kirby Smart and Muschamp knew how to ‘ball, but Saban helped to bring their knowledge of the game to the next level.

  • dontfindthisfunny

And when is this newsworthy? Sheesh digging the bottom of the barrel for a story arent ya?

  • Ben Dover

Best one i ever heard about Satan was that he had that perpetual shifty-eyed look, sort of like he just sniffed your sisters panties and was looking to see if you noticed…

  • Foundered

This just in… Saban is an A-hole. More at 11.

I wonder what Nick’s dad would think about Will?

  • Bama Bad

Sounds like all you haters need to have a drink and chill. Nick is the best and here to stay, chew on that punks.
