GT Fan Suing Over Sandwich Search

It’s a good thing that security at Georgia Tech football games is so tight. As a result, fans get to enjoy the game free of others gorging on chicken sandwiches.

But that drunk guy to your right? You have to deal with him.

According to WSBTV in Atlanta, a Yellow Jackets fans, Mary Clayton, is suing Georgia Tech officers after she was strip searched in September 2010, when security did not believe she had thrown away her Chick-fil-A sandwich.

The report said that the lawsuit accuses the officers and Georgia Tech’s private security company of unlawful arrest and unlawful imprisonment.

“It was very humiliating and degrading,” Clayton told the TV station. “They told me I couldn’t bring it in, and that was fine.”

According to the report, Clayton then walked away, threw it in the garbage but was stopped and searched by officers for the contraband … er … the chicken sandwich. She was taken to the bathroom where she was forced to drop her pants because officers believed she had hidden the sandwich there.

We’d hate to see what they would have done if she had gotten fries.

    The only thing worse than people from Georgia is people from Georgia who take their crappy jobs WAY too seriously. I bet that security guard is also one of those McDonalds cashiers who gives only 2 ketchup packets with an order of fries.

    My question, did she appear to throw it away in the park or outside of it? I’d of eaten it before getting into the stadium to because Chick Fillet is AWESOME. I would never allow them to strip search though. I’d of made them bring in higher security 1st. Lawsuit? Preplanned?
