Ex-Hoya Guard Victor Page Arrested

Former Georgetown guard Victor Page, notorious for his rough upbringing in Washington D.C., was booked for fourth degree burglary in Prince George’s County, MD, on July 31.

Page was not selected in the 1997 NBA draft after teams targeted him as a risky pick. He was a standout for the Hoyas, for whom he led the Big East in scoring in 1996-97 and was a member of the ’96 Elite Eight team with Allen Iverson. He played in the CBA briefly for the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

In 2003, Page was shot in the eye in his old Washington neighborhood. He now wears an eye patch and looks disheveled in the below mug shot. Granted, mug shots aren’t the most flattering of photos, but Page looks like he’s in bad shape. Victor Page profile

My heart goes out to this guy! Not saying what he did was ok, but d*** its sad to see such a guy with alot of talent looking this bad!

This is just another sad story of a guy who was great in college but not deemed worth the risk in the pros. Truly sad to see him return to the life that he was trying so hard to escape.

Did he graduate from college? Did he have any work skills? Basketball skills only go so far. The “roar of the crowd” is over.

I remember V. Page for his tough play on the court. It let the other Big East teams know that Hoyas were no push over team. Pray that he gets it together before it’s 2 late.

don’t know if he had any legal issues immediately post-college, but it’s a shame he didn’t try go go play overseas. With the talent he had, he could’ve easily made 6 figures per year playing in nice cities throughout Europe or Asia. Probably would’ve done him a lot of good getting out of the states (and as far away from DC as possible), and would have been making good money. Too bad indeed.

He did play overseas, where he also got in trouble. Geogetown is part of the problem . How many credits did Victor Page earn at GU? None. He can barely read. Given all of the preferential treatment he’s received, why would he ever feel the need to work for anything or adjust his behavior. The university, i.e. Coach Thompson, and others did him a disservice all in the name of trying to win some basketball games.

I think from the way he looks unkept and the prince george county area is burgulary is common in the fourth degree he probably is strung out on heroin.

    The guy is human!stop hating.

  • wow

I use to love this guys game. His defense was unbelievable, he didn’t back down at all even as a freshman. Now life has him backed into a corner. It’s a sad situation for him. But the saddess part is that he lives right in the dc area an gtown won’t even help the guy, who helped them fill the stands. Smh at Georgetown.

      Your absolutely right, so sad

Awwwwe man, I’ve been looking for this dude. Victor and Iverson were the best darn players on that team. I always wondered if he went pro an why he didnt get as much shine as iverson. Maybe they picked the wrong guy after all. I’m sorry to hear he had to endure such tragedies.

  • Wow
