It’s probably not easy watching your father on the coaching hot seat. And it’s probably even tougher when you’re a quarterback on his team with his fate in your hands. That’s the position Cody Hawkins finds himself in. Too bad his passing numbers have gotten progressively worse over his three seasons with the Buffaloes, to the point that he was replaced last season by Hansen.

But Dan Hawkins’ job isn’t much safer with Hansen behind center. Hansen took over the starting job after Colorado’s 1-4 start and went 2-5 as the starter, including three losses to end the season. In fact he threw more touchdowns than interceptions just once as a starter.
This quarterback battle might just be a comedy of errors all season long with the theme song of the “Benny Hill Show” a perfect soundtrack.
