Adam Morrison on Comeback Trail

Former Gonzaga star Adam Morrison has emerged from hiding and wants to play in Europe.

Morrison, the third overall pick in the 2006 draft, picked up two NBA championship rings as a bench warmer for the Los Angeles Lakers. But he did not even come close to fulfilling his college promise.

Veteran basketball writer Chris Tomasson tweeted Thursday that Morrison – who did not play anywhere last season – has been working out at Gonzaga and ready to make a comeback overseas.

Morrison played in the NBA for the Charlotte Bobcats and Lakers from 2006-2010.

We’ll see if it pans out for Morrison, whose poor lateral movement hindered his defense and ability to get his own shot in the NBA. If he’s still an effective shooter, Morrison may find a role in Europe.
