Wait, Who? OJ Simpson Plays in AFL

OJ Simpson is playing in the Arena Football League.

No, not the former USC and NFL star running back and man famous for being accused of killing his ex-wife and another man. While he was acquitted of those charges, he’s currently incarcerated in Nevada.

This OJ Simpson plays for the AFL’s Kansas City Command, for whom he even wears No. 23 – the inverse of the famous Simpson’s old No. 32. But despite being a 5-foot-9 wide receiver from Missouri Western, the Command’s Simpson still gets compared to his namesake.

“When I went to Spokane (to face the Shock) for my first game of the season, their fans are outrageous and of course they were making all the O.J. Simpson jokes, the glove jokes, everything,” he said, according to an ESPN.com feature.

“I like it only because it adds fuel to the fire. I believe I scored my first touchdown that game, and after that I didn’t hear nothing else.”

We just hope he doesn’t drive a white Bronco.

he should not use the name if he does not want problems…. OR RECOGNITION

  • Chris Columbus

Inappropriate: the OJ behind bars is, ‘inappropriate!

I hope it doesn’t ever equate to killing a white woman & her lover (all selfishly, come on, he did it), just out of hate & rage. (& we all know who celebrated his acquittal, too.) Barbarians!

All signs suggest, “With #23″, should be reverse OJ, The cool 1 (I hope & hope, you hope also).

Reverse number – not “inverse number.”

If OJ was not in jail, he could be out there looking for the real killer as he said he would be doing. He must of thought he would find him on the golf course, because he was always looking there.

The second paragraph of this article contains misinformation.

Nicole Brown Simpson was OJ’s ex-wife.

Also, the last sentence seems to imply that OJ is incarcerated for murder.

A jury convicted the former football star of robbery and kidnapping. The verdict came 13 years to the day after OJ was acquitted in the highly-publicized slayings of his ex-wife and her friend Mr. Goldman.

    Just saying.
