South Alabama will be in its final transition year in 2012 en route to becoming a full FBS member. In 2013, the Jaguars will be a full member of the Sun Belt Conference.
But will they be recognized as one of the big boys in the video-game world?
A post on the South Alabama fan site, Thunder Jags, cited a Facebook post by a fellow South Alabama fan, who wrote the following:
“So, it was found out today that South is not included in the coming release of the NCAA 13 football video game that is extremely popular, but UTSA, Texas St, and UMASS are.
“All 4 of us are new to FBS this year, yet South is the only one that was left out. There is apparently some confusion as to why …”
We don’t get involved in video-game matters – nor do we know how reliable Thunder Jags’ source is – but stay tuned to see if this is true.
