Ex-TTU QB Harrell on Packers’ Roster

Former Texas Tech QB Graham Harrell, one of the most-prolific quarterbacks in college football history, is a member of the Green Bay Packers.

Harrell was not selected in the 2009 NFL Draft. He then was on the roster of the CFL’s Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2009 before joining the Packers in 2010. In Green Bay, he has been back and forth between the practice squad and the active roster.

In college, Harrell was the maestro of Mike Leach’s “Air Raid” offense. He threw for more than 5,000 in both his junior and senior seasons – an unprecedented feat. Harrell threw for 38, 48 and 45 touchdowns in his sophomore, junior and senior seasons, respectively, to land third in NCAA history in TD tosses. It was a record at the time.

The look back at Harrell is part of “Texas Tech Week” at Lost Lettermen. Graham Harrell profile
