Praise Martin-Oguike, a freshman linebacker at Temple last season, has been charged with rape in connection with an alleged attack of a woman on the school’s Philadelphia campus, according to the Associated Press on Tuesday.
The AP said that Martin-Oguike, 18, also has been hit with a charge of aggravated assault for an alleged incident from May 26. Martin-Oguike has been suspended by the Owls until there is resolution with the charges, the report said.
A Sewaren, NJ, native, Martin-Oguike played in seven games for Temple last season but no longer is listed on the current roster, the report pointed out.
