Ex-Oklahoma State receiver Justin Blackmon, the fifth overall pick in April’s NFL draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars, was arrested on a complaint of aggravated DUI early Sunday in Stillwater, OK.
The Tulsa World reported that Blackmon was booked into Payne County Jail at 10 a.m., but no further details were available.
According to the newspaper, a person’s blood-alcohol level must be .15 or higher for he or she to be pinched for aggravated DUI per Oklahoma law.
Blackmon was a prolific receiver at Okie State, where he was a two-time All-American and twice named the winner of the Biletnikoff Award. He ranked second behind Rashaun Woods in receiving yards, receptions and touchdown catches on the Cowboys’ all-time list.
The talented wide out had been arrested on a DUI complaint in Texas in October of 2010, when he was coming back from watching a Dallas Cowboys game. But now that he’s in the NFL, the matter seems that much worse – even if the consequences of driving impaired, if Blackmon is guilty of doing so, are just the same.
His alleged actions certainly are not what the Jaguars want to hear about a man they are investing millions of dollars in.
