When you get down to end of the second round in the NBA draft, many teams like to draft and stash foreign players who may never see their rosters.
But at the Newark, NJ, draft – which is normally located at Madison Square Garden – Knicks and Nets fans normally steal the show. On Thursday night, a young Nets fan did just that after his team selected Turkey’s Ilkan Karaman with the 57th overall pick.
The kid reacted just as everyone who is not named Fran Fraschilla did. Ilkan, who? But then he remembered why he was there – to scream incoherently for his team. Check the GIF below, courtesy of SB Nation.
