John Calipari provided us with a heck of a humble-brag on Twitter.
Tweeted Calipari on Tuesday: “I want to apologize to all the recruits this week. I’m spending the majority of my time answering questions from NBA teams about my six guys”
Kentucky’s head man, who just won a national title with the Wildcats, hit us with a double-whammy there. He reminded us that UK has six players who likely will be selected in Thursday’s NBA draft. And he also made it clear that Kentucky has to beat back recruits with a stick – figuratively speaking, of course.
New South Carolina coach Frank Martin responded on Twitter, saying the following: “@UKCoachCalipari I love u & u r the best but while u talk 2 the NBA I will talk 2 the future NBA players”
Ouch.
But we have to say: Calipari deserved that one.
