Jordan Hamilton is blaming his Texas coach, Rick Barnes, for slipping in the NBA draft and being selected 26th overall while watching his ex-Longhorn teammate, Tristan Thompson, get picked fourth.
“(Barnes) called some teams and said that I probably wasn’t coachable and things like that. But I feel like I can be coachable,” Hamilton said, according to The Dagger.
How did Hamilton know that? Well, Hamilton would not let on, only to say that he got “some feedback.”
No matter if Barnes had something to do with it or not, it’s probably not a good idea to trash your old coach while trying to convince your new team you are coachable.
