Former Baylor basketball player Richard Khamir Hurd has been arrested for allegedly trying to extort ex-Bears QB Robert Griffin III, according to a report from KWTX.com on Monday.
The report said that Hurd was arrested Friday by FBI agents and returned to Waco, TX. It also said that details of an alleged extortion attempt have not been specified as of Monday.
Hurd walked on at Baylor in 2004 and played there for four years. His arrival on campus came just after the murder of ex-Baylor basketball player Patrick Dennehy in 2003 by teammate Carlton Dotson and a cover-up by then-head coach Dave Bliss.
