Ohio State president Gordon Gee has the NCAA on his back, but the Little Sisters of the Poor now will leave him alone.
Gee apologized for his comment last year, in which he said TCU wasn’t worthy of a spot in the BCS title game because it pads its record against the Little Sisters of the Poor.
It’s obvious Gee was using that as a joke, meaning that the Horned Frogs don’t play a tough schedule. But the actual Little Sisters of the Poor – an actual global order that Gee was unaware of – took offense.
Gee has apologized to them and now is on good terms with a group of Toledo nuns.
“I am delighted about the fact that Sister Cecilia (Sartorius) and I have now developed a wonderful relationship,” Gee said, according to WBNS-10TV. “I understand her work and value it deeply.”
Now only if he could bury the hatchet with the NCAA this easily…
