We know that playing quarterback runs in the Kelly family. We’re not sure about rapping.
Chad Kelly, the incoming Clemson quarterback and nephew of former Miami (FL) and NFL star Jim Kelly, has his own rap song that’s, well, a little self-centered. It was posted five months ago online but has picked up steam on the internet this week as Kelly is now under three months from his first college football game.
The tune starts with a roll call of his accomplishments; for example, there’s this: “Under Armour All-American … Swag! Player of the Year, All-State … Swag!” Yes, it’s true art.
Lest we forget that he was honored by Under Armour, Kelly rapped the following later in the song: “Under Armour All-American can’t forget to mention/ did my thing at Joe’s now I’m gonna take my talents to Clemson.”
A four-star prospect, Kelly chose Clemson over schools like Purdue, Syracuse, Florida State, Michigan State and Alabama after a standout high school career at St. Joseph’s High School in Buffalo. Kelly certainly isn’t short on confidence, as he’s already ripped Tigers back-up QB Cole Stoudt on Twitter.
Check the audio of the song below, which proves yet again that college athletes should put down the microphon
