Maryland just can’t take the hint.
The state-flag uniforms that were the talk of college football – and not in a good way – now will be coming to the college basketball hardwood in some form, according to Jakob Engelke of InsideMDSports.com on Twitter last week.
Here’s Engelke’s tweet: “#Terps basketball will get new uniforms this season, including a MD pride one, according to coach Mark Turgeon.”
So we’re not sure if they exactly will resemble the football unis that nearly shut down Twitter during the 2011 season opener against Miami (FL).
For the Terps’ sake, we hope not. They already have some, um, interesting threads – especially the yellow ones. More state flags would provide an awful complement.
