Florida LB commit James Hearns, a native of Tallahassee, FL, tweeted Saturday that he was kicked out of a Florida State football camp for doing the “Gator Chomp.”
However, SB Nation Recruiting reported via Twitter on Saturday night that Hearns was ejected for taunting – his second of the day – in a 7-on-7 tournament, which included a “Gator Chomp” in a quarterback’s face.
But this made his Twitter account blow up with detractors and supporters. We know this for sure: He’s a hero in Gainesville without having stepped on the field.
