Marcus Jordan, son of Michael Jordan, may not be back with Central Florida for his senior season in 2012-13, according to Terez Owens on Tuesday.
The sports gossip website cited a source who spoke with a UCF player. Needless to say, take that information for what it’s worth. Here’s what was cited in the report:
“I had a conversation with one of the basketball players at UCF (needless to say he is informed) and he said as of now, it is expected that Marcus will not be playing next season as he wishes to pursue a career of his own. If he does play it will be as a walk on and not on scholarship.”
The Orlando Sentinel pointed out that Jordan – whose family obviously has the money to pay his way through a senior year – could play as a walk-on to help UCF gain another scholarship player to combat reductions.
Jordan, whose brother Jeff also left the program, averaged 15.2 points as a sophomore and 13.7 as a junior.
Stay tuned to see if he stays or goes.
