With Nebraska off to the Big 10, former Husker quarterback Cody Green might be the only one staying in the Big 12.
The Huskers’ Green announced plans to transfer from Lincoln last month. In an interview with HuskerOnline.com, Green said that he may move on to Texas A&M, Baylor, Kansas State, Tulsa or Houston.
“I made a visit to Kansas State this week and it went well. Coach (Bill) Snyder and those guys are a class act. When you have a legend like coach Snyder, everything feeds off of him. He’s like coach (Tom) Osborne in that way.”
The mobile Green was predicted to have an impact at Nebraska, which has a history of dual-threat quarterbacks. However, he has backed up Zach Lee (2009) and freshman Taylor Martinez (2010) since his arrival.
We’d give the advantage to the Cougars since Green grew up outside Houston and the team will need a replacement for Case Keenum in 2012 to run their high-octane offense.
