UF DE Commit Advertises ‘Blunts’ at Party

We can’t imagine Florida commit JaFar Mann, a three-star defensive tackle, is endearing himself to those in Gainesville.

On Thursday, Mann tweeted out a photo on Instagram that was in the form of a looseleaf note that said the following: “KICKBACK!!!! Friday, June 8th come turn up with ShaBria, Jafar and Slickk (Myles)! bottles, blunts, music, and b******! DON’T MISS OUT!!! ….. 594 wind rush ct stone mtn ga 30087″

He tweeted another Instagram photo with a similar message on Friday. Gators football players have had a history of getting into trouble, including during Urban Meyer’s successful run.

So Mann, Rivals.com’s 48th overall player for the Class of 2012, probably shouldn’t be advertising a night of partying.

  • Way to throw

Urban Meyers name into this. He didnt recruit this kid.

  • Michigan Mike

Urban is on the phone now to this kid telling him to come to play for him!!!! Can’t wait till The Ohio Buckeyes become the new thug central!!!!

  • Michigan Mike

The Ohio Buckeyes will soon match Sparty for B10 Thug Central

  • Michigan Mike is Dumb

Sparty just beat the Wolverines again…

  • Jim B

    What is a Blunt?

    • Anonymous

Jim b does not smoke weed.

  • Coach Maceyko

Mike sounds like a true Michigan fan. Going to bring OSU into something that has nothing to do with them. Anyways a lot of these young recruits are running their mouths in the press and saying or doing crazy stuff. I say a coach tells them “If you do or say this, this, or this then I will pull your scholarship offer.” Set the line and reward the kids with good character not just a few skills. Doesn’t matter if it’s Florida, Alabama, USC, Michigan or OSU everyone has these kids in their program!

  • gatorgrad

Done before he gets started, damn sad.

  • GWG Pensacola

personal life is private business….keep it that way. Three strikes and your out/done Appears he has already used two.

  • Bill

UF doesn’t need anymore knit-wits like this kid. I’ve got nothing against a little weed but, be smart and keep it to yourself. This idiot is sure to get busted at least 2 or 3 times. Let him go to Bama. The Gators don’t need anymore stupid kids.

    • Swamp

He already signed Bill its too late…we got another one..lol

I love how this got put on Urban lol….

  • Doctor Bill

To me, dope smoking is exactly the thing to do at UF. When I interviewed for a medical residency there, the doctors there talked about a party at the beginning of the year where interns were expected to be too drunk to drive home, so there were designated drivers hired before the party. If the doctors get that drunk – in the 1990′s – shouldn’t the football players do dope now?

  • DRU2012

I’m with “Bill” and others on this one, beginning-to-end: What this kid does with his own life and time in the off-season is his own affair–as long as he’s cool, low key and it doesn’t affect his health, attitude or anything to do with performance and the team…but immature, big-mouthed bragging to bring in “the players and the *******” just to have the “cool party” is just plain stupid, and a sign of selfish, short-sighted priorities that are likely to get himself in trouble and at the very LEAST rub off on the image of the program that Coach Will is building at UF now. Worse, it smacks of a reintroduction of the kind of vacuum in leadership, discipline, self- and mutual respect and motivation that came to characterize Meyer’s talented but “entitled to do what I want”-screw-up-dominated teams there at the end of his reign (wherein a team that SHOULD have won another Nat’L Championship DIDN’T, and the ones following it filled with highly-rated prima donnas didn’t even come CLOSE).
If he is still a “prospect”, it will likely be after the coaches have a word with him, make it clear he just put himself in the “reconsider” category, where his own actions in the weeks and months ahead will decide whether that offer will remain next February.

Don’t be self-righteous! This crap goes on everywhere, unfortunately! It has become common practice for college bound kids to throw parties. Hell, it’s been common knowledge that some schools’ Boosters give kids money to throw a party. I guarantee you Will Muschamp got in his busniess about this! That’s the difference between him and Urban Lyer – Muschmp will do something. Just ask Jenoris Jenkins, who Muschamp kicked off the team. Jenkins told Muschamp, “This wouldn’t be happening if Coach Myer was still here.”! Urban let our program go to hell after he lost his 2 Asst Coaches that made him look like a genius. He better hope he’s got some good ones now or he’ll crash and burn all over again!

      GI-Gator
Jenoris Jenkins!!! Are you serious? 1 player out of the 11 (ELEVEN) arrests is kicked off the team. Muschamp is on track to break Urban’s Arrest Record. Sir, I think you are sitting too close to the outflow vent from the locker room. Contact Buzz!

Check again. Four of those players are no longer with the team. Champ allowed them to transfer out gracefully like he was attempting to do with J. Jenkins before he ran his mouth to the press that Champ kicked him off the team.

Take the money out of it and all of it goes away…..evening “have to win”.
