You already know about David Stockton, the rising redshirt sophomore guard at Gonzaga and the son of Bulldogs and NBA legend John Stockton.
Well now it’s time to met another Stockton son, Michael, who worked out for the Utah Jazz on Tuesday.
After a breakout season at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Michael got the call to participate in a session with former BYU guard Jackson Emery, guard Mustapha Farrakhan (Virginia) and guard Brady Morningstar (Kansas).
John Stockton was told by Jazz general manager Kevin O’Connor that a spot on Utah’s summer league team was a possibility, but that’s up in the air especially due to the NBA’s uncertain labor situation.
“I believe in myself. I believe I can play with anybody,” Michael told the paper., adding that he plans to head overseas to play. “But the NBA is a completely different level. I’m not there yet, and that’s OK. Will I ever be there? I don’t know.”
If he doesn’t make it, at least he got the chance to be in his dad’s old stomping grounds, even if it was just for a pre-draft workout.
