A national championship sure didn’t soften the behavior of Kentucky fans toward five-star forward Anthony Bennett, one of the top unsigned recruits in the country.
Check the image below of some reactions of UK fans on Twitter after it was announced that Bennett – the seventh overall player for the Class of 2012, according to Rivals.com – narrowed his choices to Oregon and UNLV and left out Kentucky.
The screenshot of the tweets are courtesy of BTownBanners.com, an Indiana fan site, which shows some apparent UK fans tweeting at Bennett and calling him a f****** b**** and other derogatory terms.
Big Blue Nation wasn’t happy, to say the least, about the decision of the Nevada native and this isn’t the first such instance of social media attacks on recruits that spurn Lexington – just ask Mitch McGary and T.J. Warren.
