Oregon Rocks Huge Rose Bowl Rings

Oregon finally broke through in Pasadena under coach Chip Kelly with a win in the 2012 Rose Bowl. And they were rewarded handsomely for it.

Take a look at the rings below – yellow around the outside, Oregon green on the inside with the words “Rose Bowl Champions” engraved. Oh yeah, and look at the size of those things.

It’s nothing but the best for the Oregon Ducks from the uniforms to the locker room to the bling.

We can only imagine the size of the rings when Oregon wins a national title.

gotta wonder whether or not they will have to give them back when the ncaa hits oregon with big sanctions. it is taking a long time just like usc did. but just like usc the ncaa will catch up with the university of nike. it will be well worth the wait to hear duck fans screaming bloody murder.

    • Duckfoot

      Yeah, right.

    • Blazerfan

Your opinion, with that and $2.95 I can get a coffee at Starbucks. The NCCA is only going to slap the wrist of the Ducks, because unlike USC, the Ducks are cooperating with the NCCA and that typically means a lighter punishment. So take your jealousy of the Ducks relationship with Nike, and stick it where the sun don’t shine, oh, and you can put your opinions there to.

  • thepar

Yawill maybe oregon gets hammered, and maybe they wont”O” What will bw real nice and will worth the waited,IS WHEN THE “DUCK “D” HAS STOPS BARKLY ALL DAY AND BARNER AND DAT RUNNING ALL OVER SCs “D” ALL GAME LONG”O”O”O”

    • NWTrojan

Ya just like last year. The Ducks are a classless team. Coached by a classless fool who wear ridiculous uniforms. Just like the rings… What are those? Piss yellow and puke green.

You win one Rose Bowl in more than a half century and you think you can hang with the likes of USC, Stanford and UW. Laughable. Your still Oregon.

        Kiffins win % is 57.6

Oregons win % under Kelly is 84.7

The whine from USC is music to a Duck fans ears. The more bitter the better. har

NW Trojan, you have the audacity to call the Ducks classless??? Look at who is USC’s coach Lane Kiffin, quite the resume he has, in head coaching stints before USC, at the NFL Oakland Raiders, 5-15. at Tennessee 7-6, that adds up to 12-21. He then goes to USC and in 2 years is 18-7, arguably with the talent USC had those years, a portrait of Barney Fife could have coached them to that record. It will be interesting to see when the next scandal will happen at USC football, before he had coached a game at USC he broke NCAA rules. From Yahoo Sports:
Lane Kiffin’s tenure at Tennessee is a lot like that wet dog smell in your basement.

Even though the dog might be long gone, the stench remains.

You clean, get new carpet, get new furniture, disinfect the place and essentially do everything you can to get rid of the smell.

And while it’s not nearly as pungent, the smell never completely goes away.

Even worse, it’s on those days when your family members and closest friends are over to celebrate some special occasion that the smell drifts back around and hovers.

Given Tennessee’s latest NCAA troubles, who could blame second-year coach Derek Dooley and the Vols’ beleaguered fan base for wondering if there will ever be any true closure to Kiffin’s short, but turbulent, stay on Rocky Top?

He was in Knoxville for 14 months. But to those who came in behind him and those orange-hearted souls who’ve weathered the embarrassing fallout since his departure, it probably seems more like 14 years.

With this latest news first reported by Yahoo! Sports, it sounds like another official letter of inquiry from the NCAA is headed Tennessee’s way. Consider it Kiffin’s latest gift to the Vols’ program.

The NCAA has already been in touch with Tennessee after talent scout Will Lyles told the NCAA that he received a $1,500 wire transfer from former Tennessee defensive backs coach Willie Mack Garza in 2009 for recruit Lache Seastrunk and his mother to make an unofficial recruiting trip to Tennessee.

  • DonP

And Dave, it will be well worth the wait to hear all the jealous haters like you when the NCAA decides this is much ado about nothing.

  • Britt B.

Don’t think so, Dave. Since the Reggie Bush scandal, weve seen other schools do FAR WORSE and receive much weaker penalties/sanctions. No one will get penalized as much as USC did. No other team can recover like USC has. While the Oregon scandal involved people like Chip Kelly who allegedly tried to cover it up, the NCAA only severely punishes USC. Oregon will be fine. Congrats on Rose Bowl, Ducks. See you at the coliseum for a very memorable matchup.

  • markr1978

Pretty impressive. I ‘m sure Alabama would love to trade their rings for yours.

  • Datschu

Wow!! Britt B shows that there is at least one persone with a little class at the University of Spoiled Children!! Thanks britt we look forward to it too!!

  • rabiddawgfanforever

they have to have the most ridiculous rings possible because they know it will be another 95 years before they win another one! congratulations ducks on finally finding a team bad enough even you can beat them in the rose bowl! you only need six more rose bowl wins and two national championships and you will be tied with us! go dawgs!

    • Blazerfan

The Huskies need to stop living in the past, but then again they don’t have a bright future, so I can see why they are living in the past. The Dawgs are still smarting over that beat down by the Ducks last season at the last game in their home stadium before it’s makeover, as they say you can’t makeover a pig by putting lipstick on it. rabiddawgfanforever, you really show your ignorance of college football, the team the Ducks beat in the RoseBowl was possibly one loss away from playing in the National Championship game. Stop being jealous of the Ducks just because the Huskies, Cougars, Seahawks, Mariners, and Thunderbirds blow, oh, and the Sonics left town, lol

  • Qvakatak

Oregon is making their history. USC is living the Glory days. Plus who are lostlettermen? They are the most uninformed writers Bleacher has ever sponsored. Bleacher is no shakes either, but they aren’t from some SEC backwoods holler like LL.

  • barnone

Too bad NW Trojan didn’t learn grammar or even how to spell at the University of Sequestered Criminals.

    • Blazerfan

      barnone, lol, good one.

  • scarollo

You are correct re: ugly Duck uniforms. However the players and recruits seem to like them while most of the fans and alums that I talk to prefer both the classy looks and the great colors from the 50s to the turn of the century. But the worst of all are the grey pants. They look like something that was left over from a gym class and the football team is forced to wear them because they couldn’t afford something in OREGON DUCK COLORS. They don’t look good with anything! Duck colors are green and gold, with some white when required on the road, usually. Greys and black (OAC Aggie colors are BLACK and orange, and they make me ill ) are decidedly not U of O colors, whether they are called grey or pewter or ash or charcoal or black. I can live with the tread designs and the feathered look but lets get someone who isn’t color blind or just loves bad color combos to select Duck uniform colors.
