Michigan’s Zack Novak has range, but we thought it was limited to the basketball court.
Check the video below of Novak taking his talents to the Big House, where he booted a 56-yard field goal on Wednesday. For his part, Novak wasn’t trying to upstage any Wolverines kickers.
Novak tweeted on Thursday: “Huge difference between practice & game. I’m sure U-Mich kickers can make that kick easily in practice. Wasn’t my 1st try”
We will do the bragging for Novak, who finished his career with the fourth-most threes in Michigan basketball history. As The Dagger pointed out, a 58-yard field goal from East Carolina’s Michael Barbour was the only in-game boot longer in 2011 than Novak’s recreational kick. The blog also said cited Hayden Epstein as the only player to kick one longer than 56 yards in UM history.
Now with his college hoops career over, Novak – who never played football in high school, by the way – might want to consider switching over to the gridiron for 2012.
