Larry Brown already is making his presence felt at SMU.
The legendary coach, who recently was hired to turn around the Mustangs, has landed Arizona transfer Josiah Turner. The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 6.8 points during a trouble-filled freshman season with the Wildcats.
The second-ranked player at his position coming out of high school, according to Rivals.com, Turner’s season at Arizona was filled with off-court problems, including an arrest for DUI.
This comes a week after Brown cut SMU’s starting point guard Jeremiah Samarrippas for simply not being good enough.
Brown has been at many stops and dealt with all kinds of players. With the addition of Turner, he’s made it clear that he will take anyone on his squad if it means winning.
